We
are seeking a motivated Teacher Assistant– English as an Additional
Language (EAL) to work in our EAL Learning Area.
Our Teacher Assistants works closely with students who have
EAL designed programmes. They will work positively and constructively with individual students and/or groups of students,
to engage and accelerate their learning and to support them to achieve.
The ability
to empathize with and create strong engagement and relationships with
students and staff are critical qualities needed for this role. The
successful applicant will need to be proactive in helping ākonga and
be a good team member.
Previous
experience working with EAL Learners would be an advantage, but not necessary.
This role is
Fixed Term for the 2025 school year, and for 25 hours a week, during term time
only.
